We just came home from seeing “Rosewater,”John Stewart’s new movie. Of all the theaters in the local area, this was the only one carrying the film. Five minutes before the movie began we were the only viewers in the seats. Then two women came in – and we knew them. They were from Shingle Springs. I think maybe six others came in. I was shocked at how few were there. I think this is an important movie because it is about the treatment of journalists around the world. No, Isis was not there beheading people, but this was a true story about a journalist in Iran. These people risk their lives to keep us aware of the state of our world. I hope the audiences pick up, or maybe we just don’t want to know. Oh, don’t expect to laugh. It is playing at UA Olympus Pointe 12 on Eureka if you are from the Roseville, CA, area. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2752688/
