  1. I cannot find my copy of your book anywhere. It has to be here. I wouldn’t lend it without posting on my bulletin board who had it. Would I? Erk. Would you send another copy, please? I’ll send a check when we get back from Chicago where we are going tomorrow for a week to see younger son. My perception of VA hosp is much like that of most military hosp. Except for the new docs who swapped $$ help during med school for several years on active duty, those medical services are the last resort of the docs at the bottom of the list who cannot get better paying jobs anywhere else. And there aren’t enough of them. Too many administraters, not enough people who know how to use stethoscopes. Obama said he was going to fix this during his FIRST campaign. NOW he’s outraged? Firing someone never is very effective. (Folding up soapbox.) How’s all with you? lp

  2. Lynn, what you write about hospitals is so similar to what I write about schools. Perhaps this is the problem with humanity – too many administrators, too few people trained to take care of the issue, too many people needing help, and, I’ll throw in, too many people who don’t care about their fellow man. (I enjoy your soapbox!)
