I substituted at Woodcreek High School in Roseville on January 29. I read their school newspaper, the Wolf Pack Press, and learned some startling facts about sex trafficaking. For instance in the artical by Megan Adams and Jesse Estes:
“Traffickers seek out young teens and earn their trust before making them sell themselves for sex…”
“Sex trafficking has increased tenfold over the past two years and threatens to overtake the drug trade as the most profitable illegal industry in the world.”
From editors Matt George and Breana Zamudio:
“Sacramento is the fifth ranked city for sex trafficking in the entire United States, which may come as a surprise to a lot of our readers.”
From the “It’s Your Life and then theirs:”
“Customers, mostly Western European and American men, pay for thier services.”
Sacramento is rated fifth for sex trafficking! That is a surprise to me. It is satisfying seeing young people looking for the truth.
This is a very alarming news. I'm sure the local government of Sacramento knows this fact. But why is it that there doesn't seem to be any action from them?
I feel pity for the victims of this immorality especially the minors! The government should act now to stop this!
It is interesting to notice what the government does take action on and what it doesn't, isn't it Natasha and yumpareine? They can't do everything at once, but I wonder how they decide.
